Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences will host the German Industry Round Table within the framework of the ERASMUS+ DITEC project (Project code: 2025-1-EE01-KA220-HED-000360808) on 21 January 2026. The event brings together representatives from industry, higher education, and research to discuss current challenges in IT education and to co-create practice-oriented learning solutions.

The round table will begin at 10:00 with a Meet and Greet and informal reception. From 10:15 to 10:45, participants will be introduced to the DITEC project, including the presentation of key findings from a pre-study addressing skills gaps between higher education and labour market entry. This session will also provide impulses on selected thematic areas such as the use of artificial intelligence in programming, cybersecurity, and user-centric design, supported by case study examples and structured idea generation.

Between 10:45 and 11:30, participants will engage in interactive working groups under the theme “Build Your Own Case Study”, where they will collaboratively design case studies based on real-world industry and educational requirements.

The event will conclude with a final discussion and networking session from 11:30 to 12:00. For interested participants, a guided laboratory tour will be offered at the end of the on-site event.

Alternative participation option:
For those who are unable to attend the event in Frankfurt, an online round table session will be organised on 26 January 2026, from 09:00 to 11:00 (CET). The online session will cover the core project insights, thematic impulses, and collaborative discussion, ensuring inclusive participation across Germany and beyond.

The round table activities contribute to the DITEC project’s overarching objective of strengthening the alignment between higher education curricula and evolving digital competences required by industry.
