The DITEC project is pleased to announce the publication of two new project outputs:

D3.1 – Methodology Guide for Engaging End-Users in IT Education

D3.2 – Designing Human-Centered Digital Systems: Case Studies for Modern IT Education

These outputs reflect the core mission of the DITEC project: to strengthen IT education by connecting technical learning with real organisational needs, authentic end-user experiences, and practical problem-solving.

Digital transformation is not only a matter of software, infrastructure, or technical competence. It is also a process that affects people, workflows, responsibilities, communication, and decision-making within organisations. For this reason, future IT professionals need to be prepared not only to develop digital solutions, but also to understand the contexts in which these solutions will be used.

The methodology guide provides a structured approach for involving end-users in IT education through interviews, workflow analysis, needs identification, and the translation of real organisational challenges into educational activities.

The case study book complements this approach by presenting practical examples from different sectors, including education, healthcare, public services, tourism, consulting, banking, manufacturing, and start-up environments. These cases help students analyse real-world challenges and design digital systems that are functional, usable, trustworthy, and aligned with organisational practice.

Together, these outputs support a learning pathway from end-user engagement to case study development and AI-supported micro-courses. They encourage students to approach digital system design with a human-centered mindset: listening to users, analysing workflows, understanding organisational complexity, and developing solutions that respond to real needs.

Through these resources, DITEC aims to contribute to the preparation of future IT professionals who are capable of combining technical expertise with communication, analysis, empathy, and responsible design.
